The Jamar Peg Test includes a nine-hole pegboard, pegs, and a stopwatch for physical and occupational therapists to evaluate unilateral fine-motor dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Patients can demonstrate their ability to perform manual dexterity tasks by placing or removing the pegs from the holes with a timer.
This peg test kit can be used as a tool to help examine a patient’s motor coordination, help determine a treatment plan, or as a way to track their recovery. Each hand is tested separately so right- and left-hand performance can be recorded.
If the pegs are damaged or lost, a set of replacement pegs is also available to supplement the kit.
