Securing Child With MPS:
- Once the 5-Point Harness is buckled, adjust the shoulder straps so that the 5-Point Harness is comfortable, but snug. Adjust the Shoulder Straps by opening the Shoulder Strap Covers. Underneath you will find the Shoulder Strap Adjustment buckles. Depress the gray button and pull slowly on the excess strap to tighten the straps. If you need to loosen them, keep the gray button depressed and pull on the tightened portion of the strap. Close the Shoulder Strap Covers.
Please Note: The 5-Point Harness should be tight enough to hold your child securely while allowing you to place one finger between the 5-Point Harness and the collar bone of your child. A snug strap should not allow any slack. It lies in a relatively straight line without sagging. It does not press on the flesh of the child or push the body into an unnatural position.
- Once the 5-Point Harness is properly adjusted, slide the Chest Clip so that it is levelled with the armpit of your child.
Crotch Strap Adjustment:
The Crotch Strap portion of the 5-Point Harness can be adjusted to the correct length for your child. The appropriate threading method is pictured the in the figure. It is not necessary to unthread this strap to adjust its length. You can loosen each section of the strap to adjust the length.
