How to Wear Ossur Wrist Brace?
Positioning of the brace:
- Align the palmer stay to the palm (Figure 1)
- Undo all contact closure straps (Figure 2)
- Slide hand into the brace and place thumb into thumb hole. Ensure the stockinette is positioned on top of the hand (Figure 3).
- Fasten all contact closure straps and secure them to a snug fit (Figures 4 and 5).
- Adjustments may be necessary as hand, wrist, and thumb swelling patterns change.
- Straps may be cut as desired (Figure 6)
Note –Adjustments on the aluminum palmer stay can be performed by a certified medical professional.
Ossur Wrist Brace Washing Instructions
- This product may be cleaned using a mild detergent and cold water
- Hand wash using 30°C (86°F) soapy water
- Aluminum stays may be removed for cleaning
- Lay the wrist brace out flat on a towel and air-dry
- Do not use bleach or strong detergent
- Do not wash in the washing machine
- Do not squeeze or wring out the brace
- Do not wash in the washing machine or place in the dryer
- Do not place it near the heater
