How Setopress Works?
- Setopress is a lightweight, high compression bandage. To ensure correct application, a simple visual guide is indelibly printed on the bandage. The visual guide consists of color rectangles that become squares when the correct extension is reached.
- On one side of the bandage are brown rectangles, which become squares when the correct extension is reached to provide over 40mmHg at the ankle for optimum healing rates.
- When applied correctly, Setopress high compression bandages produce a level of compression that can heal even long-standing leg ulcers within 12 weeks. On the other side are green rectangles giving moderate compression (30mmHg at the ankle).
- Moderate compression may be used initially if a patient is not used to compression therapy or finds it difficult to comply.

How to apply Setopress High Compression Bandage by Molnlycke
- Apply around foot starting at base of toes (no extension).
- Make two turns around the ankle to enclose heel.
- Return to base of toes and make one turn around foot (no extension) .
- Now apply full extension (rectangles becomes squares).
- Apply with 50% overlap (full extension).
- Continue to apply as an ascending spiral (full extension).
- Stop bandaging just below the knee.
- Cut off any excess bandage.
- Secure
Things to remember while using Molnlycke Setopress Compression Bandage
- Do not use figure of eight bandaging.
- Do not apply if arterial insufficiency is present or suspected.
- Do not use on limbs with a circumference of less than 18cm/7in.
- Do not use Setopress on patient and/or user with known hypersensitivity to the ingoing materials/components of the product.
- The effective circumference of the ankle when reading off the sizing table must take into account any padding layer.
- Setopress should only be applied by a trained bandager.
- Do not use bandage clips.
- This product must be used under the direction of a healthcare professional.
- Bandage should be changed in line with dressing changes.
- Discard and replace if soiled with bodily fluids.
