Swing Construction Details
- The Sensory Wrap Swings are made of a durable soft microsuede material on the inside layer and a tough durable woven nylon (Cordura) material on the outside layer
- All load carrying seams are double-stitched for strength
- There is a unique lightweight padded aluminum support structure that gives full swing support
- The same type of spring clip connector that is used on the platform seat/board is used here for easy installation/removal. It is, however, made one size smaller to prevent the Sensory Wrap Swing from being used on the single point rotation hookup. This permits the swing to be used only as a linear motion device. This was done out of safety concerns with using the Sensory Wrap swing in a rotational fashion on such a compact support
- One chain can be removed from each clip and repositioned to the other, allowing the Sensory Wrap to swing in the other direction linearly. Just remove the elastic band from the clips and reposition the chains. Put the bands back on to keep the chains together
- The Sensory Wrap swing has 6″ total range of adjustment, up and down, to accommodate the optimal height of usage
Swing Assembly / Disassembly
- The swing comes assembled out of the box, no assembly necessary. If it becomes necessary to disassemble the swings, the following steps should be followed
- Remove the elastic bands/spring connectors from the chains
- At one end of the aluminum support structure (tube) where there is an opening in the fabric, push the tube down until it can be reached through the opening
- Grasp the end of the tube with one hand and the upper part of the swing in the other
- Carefully pull the tube out of the swings pocket, feeding both chains through their individual openings as the tube is being pulled out
- After removing the tube set it aside
- Repeat for the other side
- To reassemble, just reverse the above steps
- The tube is easier assembled if the chains are inserted first into the tube opening
- Push the chains ahead of the tube and up towards the chain openings
How to clean Sensory Wrap
- Both layers/types of materials can be spot cleaned with water-based products
- Do not soak the microsuede fabric, as it can cause water spots that are difficult to get rid of
- After spot cleaning the microsuede, the material can be brushed to raise the nap
