- Instructions for Use:
– Open box and remove a vomit bag
– Unfold and open the bag; you will see the GelMax super absorbent pad inside
– Holding the open bag with both hands, vomit into the inside of the bag
– After vomiting, liquid emesis turns to gel within seconds
– To close and seal: pull the blue string on one side of the bag and the white string on the other side of the bag until the opening of the bag closes tightly. Tie a knot to seal the bag opening - Disposal: like diapers:
– If patient is not infectious, dispose of closed liner with regular waste
– If patient is infectious, discard infectious waste according to facility infection control guidelines
– Do NOT flush - Precautions:
