- Use during the day to attach your Provox HME when you are active
- For speaking with finger occlusion
- Sticks well to the skin
- For a flat stoma
- Very flexible and has the strongest adhesive properties
- Especially suitable for patients with a deep or irregular stoma or those who prefer a very soft and flexible adhesive
- Due to the type of glue used, any residual glue should be removed with a suitable skin cleanser
- Average durability: 48 hours
- OptiDerm Base Plate:
- Soft adhesive that gives you a gentler seal around the stoma
- For sore or irritated skin
- Use after surgery
- Use after radiotherapy
- Atos Provox base plate is intended for patients with sensitive skin or if the skin is not yet healed properly
- Absorbs moisture, is gentle to the skin and needs less frequent replacement
- Average durability: 36 hours
- Note: Recommended to use it during the day if your skin feels sore or irritated
- Regular base plate:
- Transparent adhesive, less flexible
- Leaves less residual glue, is easier to handle and more comfortable to use
- Adhesive is recommended for persons with a regular (normal) stoma and skin
- Average durability: 24 hours

Cleaning and maintenance
- Clean the Provox BasePlate adaptor daily as instructed in figure 1-2.
- Disinfect the Provox BasePlate adaptor with either hydrogenperoxide 3% for 60 minutes, ethanol 70% for 10 minutes or isopropylalcohol 70% for 10 minutes at least once a day.
- If the Provox BasePlate adaptor looks dirty or have air dried in an area with risk of contamination e.g. by contact with a pet, dropping on the floor or other gross contamination, or if someone has a respiratory infection, the Provox BasePlate adaptor should be both cleaned and disinfected prior to use.
- During hospitalization it is important to clean and disinfect the Provox BasePlate adaptor immediately after use and again just before use due to an increased risk of infection and device contamination. Use sterile water for rinsing, rather than drinking water.
