Using the TheraBond 3D Antimicrobial Contact Dressing
- Application
- Cleanse wound with sterile water.
- Remove the dressing from sterile pouch, using aseptic technique.
- Moisten the dressing with sterile water and place the textured side in contact with the wound.
- Cover and secure the system periwound care protocol.
- Removal
- Lift one corner and slowly remove in a motion parallel to the skin.
- Dressing should be changed based on the amount of exudate or the condition of the wound.
- Note: The system may adhere on wounds that are dry or have very light exudate.
- If the system is not easily removed, then moisten or soak to assist removal.

- Do not use on patients with a known sensitivity to silver.
- Do not use on patients during MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) examination.
- Prior to commencing radiation therapy, remove TheraBond 3D.
- Apply a new TheraBond 3D Antimicrobial Barrier System following treatment.
- Warning/Precaution
- For external use only.
- TheraBond 3D is not compatible with oil-based products such as petrolatum
- Do not use TheraBond 3D with saline solutions or povidone iodine.
- Avoid contact with electrodes or conductive gels during electronic measurements e.g. EEG and ECG.
- TheraBond 3D is not intended to provide treatment for infected wounds.
- If reddening or sensitization of the skin occurs, discontinue use.
- TheraBond 3D should only be used in premature infants (less than or equal to 37 weeks gestation)
