- Use:
– Lower head of bed so mattress is completely flat
– Roll patient onto side and position Turner under patient using draw sheet method
– Position Turner under patient so that yellow nylon webbing is perpendicular to the patient
– Roll patient onto their back and adjust Turner so the patients buttocks and shoulders are on the Turner sheet
– Grab hold of top layer of Turner on opposite side you wish to roll patient
– Pull toward you in a slight upward motion. This will rotate the patient onto their side
– Position pillows between patients knees for comfort and use positioning wedge behind patient to maintain side lying position
– No-Lift Turner may remain under patient between positioning changes as long as side rails are utilized
– To roll patient to back to opposite side, grab top layer of No-LiftTurner on opposite side you wish to roll patient
– Repeat step 7 to maintain positioning
– Remove No-Lift Turner as would would a typical draw sheet
– No-Lift Turner must be removed prior to sitting patient at edge of bed or attempting to transfer patient from bed - Precautions:
– Never place product on floor. Product is extremely slippery
– No-Lift Turner is designed to slide the patient, NOT to lift them in any way.
– DO NOT use near edge of bed
– DO NOT leave under unsupervised patient
– Regularly check No-Lift Turner for signs of wear. DO NOT use if there is any sign of deterioration
– Keep instruction sheet with product for reference and training
– No-Lift Turner is intended to reduce the risk of injuries to staff. It cannot replace proper body mechanics, which are recommended at all times - Care:
– If heavily soiled: Machine wash with mild detergent. Air dry
– Between patient use: Use spray disinfectant. Towel dry
